Privacy Policy
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“Metro”) highly values the privacy of its users, readers, and contributors (“Users”) and is committed to protecting that privacy. Metro does not share the User’s personal information, except as presented below, unless the User specifically authorizes Metro to do so or Metro is required to do so by law. The following statement discloses Metro’s information collection policies in greater detail. This privacy policy covers the “Women Breaking Ground” website (“Site”), and does not cover or relate to any other Metro owned or operated website. Please read all the terms below carefully before using the Site. Your use of the Site indicates your agreement to abide by the terms in effect.
INFORMATION COLLECTED
Metro is the owner of all information collected on the Site. This includes information collected through services that the User opts into, as well as through technology.
- I’m Interested Page (aka “Ready? We Are!”): The User may opt to access the services offered. To do so, the User must first complete a registration form that includes contact information. This information may be used to send the User information for which he/she has expressed interest. This information will not be sold or disseminated to any other organization, except it will be provided to the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council (“Council”) who will reach out to the Users for the purpose of providing services the User opted into via registration. The Council may not use Users’ personally identifiable information fan any secondary purposes.
- Surveys: Metro may request information from Users on the Sites via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Users’ personally identifiable information is not shared with other organizations without notice and choice.
- Cookies: The Site uses cookies. Session ID cookies are temporary files, deleted when the User closes his/her browser, that are used to ease the User’s navigation of the Site.
- Log Files: As is common for web site servers, Metro uses log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, date/time stamp, and number of click to analyze trends, administer the Site, track User’s movement in the aggregated and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. Metro may use tracking utility that uses log files to analyze User .
SHARING OF INFORMATION
Metro does not share any User’s information with any party other than the Council, except in the following cases:
- If the User authorizes Metro to do so.
- If Metro is required to do so by law.
Choice/Opt Out
Users who no longer wish to receive Metro or Council communications may opt out of receiving these communications by informing the Council at info@laocmc3.org
Notification of Changes
Whenever Metro changes its privacy policy, Metro will post those changes to this privacy statement, so that Metro’s Users are always aware of what information Metro collects, how it uses it, and under what circumstances, if any, Metro discloses it.
